Turquoise water, gentle ripples on the surface of the water and magical views of the surrounding landscapes - the perfect recipe for a boat ride on Lake Fuschl. With the hotel's own wooden boat the ride to the Castle Fishery at the far end of the lake is a wonderful way to explore the region at a mellow pace. Feel the warm rays of the sun on your face and the light breeze in your hair: Sit back and enjoy the ride across Lake Fuschl!

If you'd like to experience Lake Fuschl and its surrounding countryside, we recommend a ride on our "Zille" boat across the lake. From the middle of the lake things look surprisingly different, and if at all possible, even more beautiful. Lean back, take in the scenery and enjoy!

The Fuschlerin's course

From May, all through the summer months and well into autumn the Fuschlerin departs from the lake-side promenade next to the hotel and transports passengers silently across the waters to Fuschl Castle with its own fishery. Here you can debark and either enjoy the speciality of the fishery, home-smoked Char, with a glass of wine or beer, or take a walk along the lake-side path and discover the beauty of the lake from a completely new angle. You can either walk back to the hotel on the glorious walking trail or embark once again for a lovely ride back to the promenade.

From May to October the Fuschlerin departs, as long as weather conditions allow (dry and calm winds) at the following times:

departs 10:30 a.m. from the lake-side promenade
arrives/departs 11:15 a.m. at/from the Castle Fishery
arrives/departs 12 noon at/from the lake-side promenade
arrives/departs 12:45 p.m. at/from the Castle Fishery
arrives 1:30 p.m. at the lakeside promenade

In the afternoons:
In June, July, August and September daily,
In May & October on Sundays and national holidays only:

departs 2:30 p.m. from the lake-side promenade
arrives/departs 3:15 p.m. at/from the Castle Fishery
arrives/departs 4 p.m. at/from the lake-side promenade
arrives/departs 4:45 at/from the Castle Fishery
arrives 17.30 at the lake-side promenade

What is a Zille exactly?

A Zille is a flat-bottomed boat especially designed for inland waters and is traditional to the Salzkammergut Lake District. Our Zille is equipped with an electric motor. The seats on-board are comfortable and the roof protects you from the sun on hot summer days.
